Who is speaking?

Gearbox Software is an award-winning, independent game developer based near Dallas (TX), with studios in Québec City. Gearbox is known for successful game series such as Borderlands and Brother in Arms.

What is this about?

Representatives from Gearbox will tell you the story of the company. From its beginning in 1999 in Texas until the most recent opening of a studio in Québec City in 2016. You will also hear for the first time about a new citizen science initiative between Gearbox and McGill!

Why should you attend?

This event is for all undergraduate and graduate students interested to learn how video games are made and how they can help us to solve difficult scientific problems. You will also learn about internships at Gearbox and research opportunities at McGill.
